You may recognize The Substitute Teacher, as it used to be a From Marti Michell mystery quilt. The concept is so good, we couldn't keep it in retirement! In many ways it still is a mystery quilt, because the unique methods of cutting, arranging fabrics and chain piecing mean you really don’t know what the blocks will look like until you are done!
Use Set L for 12-inch blocks or super-size and use Set M for 17-inch blocks (like the quilt with blue sashing). Includes instructions for wall hanging size and bed size quilts, or make the blocks and adapt them to other finished items. (Quilts shown above are not shown in proportion to each other.)
