Stitch Nation – Zippered Cardigan Fitting Class
Put Your Stitch Nation Fitting Skills into Practice!
In this hands-on fitting class, we will use the fitting techniques taught in the Stitch Nation video viewing to work on the featured zippered cardigan pattern.
Before class, you will need to make a muslin of the cardigan using an appropriate inexpensive fabric. Bring your completed muslin to class and Donna Robinson will walk you through the fitting process, helping you identify areas that need adjustment and showing you how to make the necessary pattern changes.
You’ll work alongside your fellow sewists as you put the Stitch Nation techniques into practice and learn how to achieve a comfortable, well-fitting cardigan.
In This Class You Will Learn:
- How to evaluate the fit of your cardigan muslin
- How to identify areas that need adjustment
- How to make pattern adjustments for a better fit
- How to apply the fitting techniques taught in the Stitch Nation video
- How to prepare your pattern for your final cardigan
Please Note
You must be an active Stitch Nation member to attend this class.
You must also pre-order the featured Stitch Nation zippered cardigan pattern through Tom’s Sewing Centre before attending.
Please arrive with your muslin already completed and bring your pattern and all supplies listed on the supply list.
This hands-on class gives you the opportunity to take what you learned from the Stitch Nation video and apply those techniques to your own garment. Donna will guide you through the fitting process and help you build confidence in fitting and adjusting your own garments.
