Serger Club - Stacking Blocks Runner
Serger Club: Project Series – Stacking Blocks Runner
Did you know you can quilt with your serger? In this next session of Serger Club, we’re diving into piecing and quilting techniques using your serger to create a modern Stacking Blocks Table Runner. It’s a fun and scrappy project that lets you play with color, texture, and those decorative threads you've been saving for something special.
You’ll learn how to piece fabric using a 2-thread flatlock stitch, which creates a unique, flat seam. We’ll also explore the lace applicator foot, a handy accessory that helps guide your fabric for accurate, consistent stitching—great for this kind of detail work.
This is a fantastic way to use up fabric scraps while learning how to quilt with precision on your serger.
Important: You must bring a working serger to class and have completed Serger Level 1 and Serger Level 2, or speak with Monica prior to class to confirm you're comfortable operating your machine. This class focuses on building technique—not on basic machine operation.
Let’s piece it all together—serger style!
