Class Overview:
This 4-part technique-based series is designed for the beginner ruler quilter or the experienced quilter who wants to brush up on their techniques and explore new design possibilities. Whether you quilt on a domestic machine, sit-down longarm, or longarm, the ruler techniques taught in this series will apply to all.
Each session will show you how to get the most out of your rulers, not just one design per ruler, but multiple creative applications. Learn how to:
- Enhance pieced blocks and borders
- Choose the right rulers for filling negative space
- Expand your ruler’s potential with repeatable, versatile design strategies
Required:
- Basic free motion quilting knowledge
- Westalee rulers (must be preordered at least 4 weeks prior to class)
- A sewing machine with a compatible ruler foot
- Full supply list will be provided
- Complete Ruler Quilting 1 - do not need to complete Ruler Quilting 2 or 3
Class 4: 6" Arc Ruler
In this session, you’ll explore the 6" Arc Ruler, ideal for tighter curves, smaller blocks, and more detailed quilting spaces. You'll learn how to fill negative space, stitch miniature border designs, and combine previously learned techniques to create balanced, cohesive quilting patterns.
