Meet Michael Smith
As National Education Manager and Janome Canada’s Brand Ambassador, Michael travels across the country to share the "Janome love" and help sewists get the most out of their machines.
From an early age, Michael expressed his creativity, imagination, and flair for design—starting when he created new fashions and hairstyles for his sister’s Barbie dolls! Following two diplomas in Fashion Design, his career path took a creative turn when he discovered a passion for quilting. For many years, he has maintained a successful home-studio long-arm quilting business, The Sewcial Quilter.
Often described as a true "social butterfly," Michael is always excited to meet new friends, teach sewing and quilting, and share his enthusiasm for all things Janome! You may also recognize Michael from his fun and informative Facebook and Instagram LIVEs (available on the Janome Canada YouTube channel) or his articles on the Janome Life blog.
