Precision Piecing: Hydrangea Block Techniques
Precision Piecing: Hydrangea Block Techniques
Learn practical piecing techniques while creating a beautiful hydrangea quilt block. This class focuses on skills that will improve your quilting accuracy and confidence, including nesting seams for precise points and constructing an on-point design layout.
Students will learn step-by-step how to piece the hydrangea block while practicing techniques that help create clean intersections and balanced block construction. These skills are useful for many quilt patterns and will help improve overall piecing accuracy.
This class is suitable for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike. Newer sewists will gain valuable piecing skills, while experienced quilters can enjoy learning a new block and sharing techniques.
Each student will receive a kit to make one purple Hydrangea block (15” x 15” finished). During class you can complete it as a 20” x 20” centerpiece, or use the provided instructions to create additional blocks for projects such as table runners or a full quilt (up to 72” square).
