PFAFF® Tear N Wash Stabilizer – 15 Inches x 10 Yards
PFAFF® Tear-N-Wash is a medium-weight tear-away stabilizer designed for embroidery on towels, blankets, woven shirts, robes, sportswear, scarves, and similar fabrics. Tear away as much as possible after stitching, then laundering removes most of the remaining stabilizer. The small amount of fiber left behind becomes locked into the underside of the embroidery, providing lasting support with little or no visible backing.
When to Use
Use Tear-N-Wash as a backing stabilizer for embroidery on:
- Towels and blankets
- Woven shirts and robes
- Sportswear
- Scarves and similar fabrics
Do not use as a topper or for lace, 3-D appliqué, eyelet, cutwork, or badge embroidery.
How to Use
- Cut the stabilizer to fit the selected hoop, allowing at least 1" beyond the hoop on all sides.
- Place the stabilizer on the wrong side of the fabric and hoop both together.
- Tighten the hoop, keeping the fabric and stabilizer equally taut.
- Stitch the embroidery design and remove from the hoop.
- Tear away as much stabilizer as possible. Most remaining pieces will wash out during laundering.
- A small amount of fiber may remain around the edges of the embroidery.
