PFAFF® Join and Fold Edging Foot for IDT™ System
Create beautiful decorative edgings with the PFAFF® Join and Fold Edging Foot. Designed for use with lace, embroidered edging and other fabric trims, this specialty foot guides both the edging and base fabric through separate openings while folding the fabric edge and sewing the edging in place at the same time.
Perfect for adding delicate finishes to lingerie, handkerchiefs, table toppers, garments and other sewing projects. Use with PFAFF® 9 mm stitches to create decorative and professional-looking results.

How to Use
- Thread Your Machine: Use regular or decorative thread in the needle and regular sewing thread in the bobbin.
- Select Your Stitch: Choose your desired stitch. A straight stitch with a 4 mm twin needle or a right-justified wide decorative stitch can be used. Decorative stitches that primarily use forward motion work best.
- Prepare the Fabric: Fold a ¼" (6 mm) hem along the edge of the base fabric toward the wrong side. Finger press or iron the fold.
- Position the Fabric and Edging: With the right side facing up, insert the folded fabric edge into the left fabric guide and the edging into the right guide. Slide both into the foot before attaching it to the machine.
- Check the Feeding: Make sure the fabric and edging slide easily through their respective openings. Lightweight but stable fabrics and edging work best.
- Attach the Foot: Snap on the Join and Fold Edging Foot.
- Engage the IDT™ System: Activate the IDT™ System for smooth and even fabric feeding.
- Sew: Sew slowly and carefully, guiding the fabric with your left hand and the edging with your right hand.
Tip: If your machine has speed control, reduce the sewing speed to make it easier to guide the fabric and edging accurately.
