How to Use

1. Mark your desired pattern with a fabric marking pen.
2. Place a piece of stabilizer under the fabric.
3. Set the upper thread tension to 2–3, loosening the tension until no bobbin thread comes to the surface.
4. Select the decorative fringe foot stitch or a zigzag stitch with a stitch length of 0.5–1.0 mm.
5. Sew the stitches row by row. For circles, work from the outside toward the center.
6. When using heavier threads, select a slightly longer stitch length and sew a test sample first.
7. When finished, carefully remove the project from the machine by holding the last loops. Pulling too quickly can flatten or tighten the end loops.
8. Knot the beginning and ending threads on the reverse side.

Tips

The Decorative Fringe Foot can also be used for tailor tacks. The groove underneath the foot allows you to create loops over cords for additional decorative effects.

Important

When using a zigzag stitch, the stitch width should be between 2.5 mm and 6 mm.
