PFAFF® 4 mm Rolled Hem Foot for IDT™ System

Easily Create a Quick Rolled Hem for Medium-Weight Fabric

The PFAFF® 4 mm Rolled Hem Foot makes it easy to create a neat, professional-looking rolled hem with a finished width of approximately 4 mm. It is ideal for finishing fabric edges quickly and evenly, creating a clean and durable edge on a variety of sewing projects.

How to Use

1. Select a straight stitch and snap on the Rolled Hem Foot. Engage the IDT™ System if applicable to your machine.
2. If needed, press the beginning of the hem to approximately 4 mm wide. Place it flat in the groove under the foot and sew a few stitches.
3. Lower the needle into the fabric to hold it in place. Raise the presser foot and pull the cut edge of the fabric into the scroll of the hemmer.
4. Lower the presser foot and continue sewing while holding the cut edge up in front of the foot.
5. Keep the fabric from running underneath the right half of the presser foot.

Tips

• Use a straight stitch for crisp fabrics.
• For soft fabrics, use a zigzag stitch that just encloses the width of the hem.
• Sharply curved edges are not recommended for this type of hemmer.
