How to Use
- Loosen the presser foot ankle screw completely and remove the ankle.
- Place the Free Motion Ruler Foot around the presser bar and attach it with the screw.
- Thread your machine.
- Select a straight stitch.
- Set the machine to Free Motion Ruler Foot mode. The feed dogs will drop automatically, so you will move the fabric manually as you sew.
- Place the fabric under the foot and lower the foot.
- Bring the bobbin thread to the top by taking one stitch. Hold both threads and sew a few stitches in place to secure the beginning.
- Slide the edge of the ruler up against the foot. Apply enough pressure with your fingertips to gently guide the foot along the ruler without allowing the ruler to move.
- Sew along the edge of the ruler. When you reach the end of the section, stop, lift the presser foot, and reposition the ruler to continue your design.
- When changing directions, stop the machine, reposition the ruler, and continue stitching in the direction needed to follow the ruler.
