PFAFF® Aqua Magic Plus Stabilizer – 15 Inches x 10 Yards
PFAFF® Aqua Magic Plus is a soft, fabric-like water-soluble stabilizer with a light adhesive coating that holds fabric and decorative materials securely in place. The adhesive dissolves completely in water, leaving your finished project soft and pliable.
When to Use
Use Aqua Magic Plus when you need a sticky stabilizer that completely washes away, especially for:
- Small items or fabrics that should not be hooped
- “Hoop-less” embroidery
- Light to medium-weight woven and knit fabrics
- Delicate fabrics such as chiffon, organza, tulle, and netting
- Towels, terry cloth, Minky, and polar fleece
- Decorative yarn, ribbon, and fabric projects, including stitched scarves
The adhesive surface is ideal for holding yarns, ribbons, and other creative materials in place while stitching.
How to Use
- Cut the stabilizer to fit the selected hoop, allowing at least 1" beyond the hoop on all sides.
- Hoop with the paper side up. Score the release paper with an “X” using a needle or pin, then peel it back to expose the tacky surface.
- Place the fabric or materials on the exposed adhesive, right side up.
- For yarn or ribbon projects, arrange the materials on the adhesive and cover with a water-soluble film before stitching.
- After stitching, cut away the excess stabilizer and place the project in plenty of warm to hot water.
- Move the item continuously and soak for about 10 minutes to dissolve the stabilizer.
- Rinse thoroughly with very warm water. Repeat if needed for dense stitching or heavier fabrics.
- If you have hard water, use distilled water or a water softener to improve dissolving.
- Place the finished project on a flat surface until completely dry.
