How to Use

1. Select a straight stitch and attach the Rolled Hem Foot to your sewing machine. Engage the IDT™ System if available.

2. If needed, press the first few centimetres of the fabric edge into a narrow hem approximately 2 mm wide.

3. Position the folded edge in the groove underneath the presser foot and sew a few stitches to secure it.

4. Stop with the needle lowered into the fabric. Raise the presser foot and guide the raw fabric edge into the scroll at the front of the foot.

5. Lower the presser foot and continue sewing slowly, holding the fabric edge slightly raised in front of the foot to help it feed evenly into the scroll.

6. Keep the fabric properly aligned with the scroll, avoiding excess fabric feeding underneath the right side of the foot.

Helpful Tip: For best results, practise on a scrap of your project fabric before hemming your finished piece. Maintaining a consistent fabric feed will help produce a smooth, even rolled hem.
