Panel Chaos by Design
Panel Chaos by Design
This is a design-driven quilt class for adventurous quilters ready to step away from patterns and trust their creative instincts.
Using a detailed fabric panel or focal print, students will cut the fabric apart and reassemble it using strips of coordinating fabrics in a loose, crazy-quilt–inspired style. The focus is on design, colour play, angles, and intentional placement, rather than following step-by-step instructions.
You’ll learn how to:
- Identify strong focal points within a panel
- Enhance and embellish imagery using colour and fabric strips
- Play with scale, direction, and angles
- Confidently make design decisions as you go
There is no pattern for this class, each piece is completely unique. The panel is rebuilt into a rectangular quilt top section, guided by your eye and creative choices.
Perfect for: Quilters who enjoy creative freedom, design exploration, and a fresh approach to panels.
